After 52 years of rebuilding engines, boring cylinders, grinding valves, grinding crankshafts, and machining assorted motor components for thousands of Vancouver Islanders, Thompson Machine in Nanaimo is closing the doors.

Founder Jim Thompson retired in 2005, and the current owners have enjoyed a further 18 years continuing to machine and sell motor parts and overhaul engines.

Thank you to the forestry and fishing industries of Vancouver Island, V.I. municipalities, BC and federal government departments, V.I. school districts, garages, vehicle dealers, boaters, hot rodders, stock car teams, and vintage vehicle owners.
